Blueberry App

This App was developed to give blueberry growers a smartphone accessible program to irrigate newly established to mature blueberry plantings. The irrigation calculations recommend irrigation rates based on evapotranspiration, precipitation, soil type, and drip irrigation system rate.

The App effectively replaces daily water loss by using local weather data. There is tremendous flexibility programed into the App and can be used in any region of the U.S that National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data is accessible. The App can be programed to provide irrigation recommendations for multiple zones within a planting based on in-field conditions and irrigation output.

The irrigation App updates continually and will remind the user to adjust irrigation rates after each perceived rain event. The App has no charge associated with its use. When using the Blueberry Irrigation App, we recommend frequent monitoring of your irrigation system to ensure optimal operation.
